Baked Apples

Vanilla Sauce, Ice Cream or whipped Cream match these delicious baked Apples perfectly!

What you need for two Baked Apples:

2 middle size juicy, sweet-tart apples
1 tablespoons orange or clementine jam
1/4 teaspoon orange zest
2 tablespoons of finely chopped nuts, dried cranberries
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Pinch of all spice
2 butter or Christmas cookies of your choice, roughly crumbled up
1 tablespoons butter
Vanilla sauce, ice cream, whipped cream….

Preheat your oven to 180 Celsius /350 Fahrenheit. Then butter a baking dish, so the apples won’t stick.Wash your apples, and dry them. Cut off the top part of the apples. Then take the core out. Now make a bigger hole by cutting or spooning out some more of the apples flesh. Save the spooned out flesh to chop it into the filling. Now mix nut/dried fruit mixture, spices, orange zest, jam, cookie crumbs and the leftover chopped Apple flesh in a bowle.
Fill your apples all the way to the bottom. Place them in the baking dish without their top, and bake them for about 15-20 min. Now place the apple top onto the apples and bake them for another 15-20 min.

Voila there done…enjoy

Ps: The butter/juice what was left in the baking pan, is pure flavor so i drizzled a bit over the apples
